You tell us when a machine is of interest to you and we値l arrange an independent inspection by a suitably qualified engineer and supply you with a comprehensive written report that covers over 50 checks, along with close up photographs of the machine in question. Cost of this service is US$300 per machine.

After we have sent you the report, if you want to go ahead with the purchase, we値l negotiate with the seller on your behalf and then you pay us the agreed purchase price plus a handling fee (usually  US$500) to handle all the export permits, police clearance certificate and other paperwork etc. Then we clean, dismantle, wrap and pack your dream machine, and ship it to you at your cost and by your choice of mode of transport. Typically shipping a bike by sea from South Africa to the UK, Europe or USA currently costs about US$500 - US$750. You can either clear your classic bike through customs yourself, or alternatively, we can recommend a clearing agent for you.

If you can't find what you want on this site, you tell us what sort of classic motorcycle you壇 like to buy and if you wish, your budget. We値l then locate a choice of suitable bikes, and send you a brief report with photographs of condition and details of anything else that comes in the package(s) and we then carry on as above.

If you prefer, we値l find and help you buy your dream classic bike and then plan a terrific biking itinerary for you. Then you fly out to South Africa and we値l have your bike ready for you at the airport and off you go to enjoy the bikers paradise of South Africa. When it痴 time for you to go home, we値l collect your bike from you at the airport and ship it home for you. If you just want to tour Southern Africa on a motorcycle, we can also offer you both guided and unguided motorcycle tours on hire bikes. Please visit the Bike Africa page or contact us for further details.

Unrestored classic motorcycles such as are found on our Bikes In Boxes page do not incur any inspection fees for the obvious reason.

PACKING
This depends slightly on the exact bike, but typically we値l remove and clean the fuel tank, drain all fluids, remove the wheels and possibly forks and handlebars and wrap and pack the entire bike and any spares etc into as small a crate as possible and then deliver it along with a report of what you need to do to reassemble the bike to the shipping agent. When the bike arrives with you, all you have to do is follow the report to reassemble your new classic motorcycle. Please note that if shipped air freight, the battery will be removed and you'll need to install a new one when you take possession of your classic motorcycle.

SELLING
If you own a classic motorcycle and would like to register it on our international database, please contact us via the contact page or by e-mail or call us on +27 (0) 13 750 1982 or +27 (0) 832 777 114 to discuss what we can do for you.

Please note that we will need to conduct an in depth independent inspection of the motorcycle for overseas buyers before sale.
